This website is about the late Civil Rights leader, Medgar Evers(1925-1963). He was a great man and many people are not aware of that because he is constantly over-shadowed by Martin Luther King and Malcom X. However, his acomplishments can not be over looked because he worked very hard for the freedom and equlity rights of African Americans and other minorities in the mid-1950's and early 1960's of the Civil Rights Movement.
As a young man, he became involed with the National Association for the advancement of Colored Poeple (NAACP). He loved fighting for the equality rights of people which was a very unique characteristic of his. He was and still is loved and admired by many; therefore, his legacy will live on forever and it will never be forgotten.
